Double Pentagon Concerts and Manila Pianos Inc. present the award-winning SIBOL GUITAR OCTET in a special chamber music recital.
The Sibol Guitar Octet (formerly the UST Guitar Octet) is the premier performance group of the UST Conservatory of Music. Under the guidance of Asst. Prof. Alberto Mesa, the ensemble has earned international acclaim, including top honors at the Tarrega Malaysia International Festival and the National Music Competitions for Young Artists (NAMCYA).
Now featuring its third generation of elite conservatory students, the octet continues its legacy of technical brilliance and musical dedication. The evening’s program offers a vibrant journey from the rhythmic Danças Populares Brasileiras and contemporary works by Andrew York and Roland Dyens, to beloved Filipino classics like Minamahal Kita and Ang Pipit.

Double Pentagon Concerts and Manila Pianos present SYMPHONIC FIVE in a unique woodwind quintet recital.
Symphonic Five is an elite ensemble of orchestral mainstays who treat the woodwind quintet as a miniature orchestra. Featuring celebrated soloists and principal players from the country's leading orchestras, the group brings technical mastery and symphonic scale to the chamber music stage.
The program features ambitious transcriptions of two orchestral giants by Jonathan Russell: the enchanting, exotic textures of Rimsky-Korsakov’s Scheherazade and the primitive, rhythmic power of Stravinsky’s Le Sacre du Printemps (The Rite of Spring).

The artist:
Reynaldo “Raki” Reyes Gendrano is an award-winning Filipino classical pianist, composer, arranger, and organist, trained at the University of Santo Tomas Conservatory of Music under Mariel Ilusorio through an artistic scholarship from the OPPA Foundation. He has refined his artistry through masterclasses with distinguished international and local musicians and mentorship from Miguel Aspiras. A multi-time competition laureate—including top prizes at NAMCYA, the Iglesia Ni Cristo International Piano Competition, and international contests—Raki is also a highly sought-after accompanist, collaborating widely with singers and instrumentalists. He regularly appears as a guest musician with the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra and has performed internationally, including at the 2023 NAMCYA Winners’ Concert in Xiamen, China.

The artist:
Singaporean pianist and composer Churen is a versatile, genre-defying artist celebrated for her expressive artistry and eclectic musical voice, blending classical repertoire with contemporary influences, original compositions, and improvisation. Hailed by critics as a “complete” and highly versatile pianist, she performs internationally as a recitalist and concerto soloist, with repertoire spanning Chopin and Debussy to Michael Jackson and George Crumb, and has appeared with major orchestras including the Singapore Symphony Orchestra, Cambridge University Orchestra, and others worldwide. A graduate of the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music, Yale School of Music, and Cambridge University, Churen is also an award-winning recording artist, educator, and advocate for new and interdisciplinary music, collaborating across genres and platforms—from concert halls to unconventional venues like Singapore’s Zouk nightclub. Beyond performance, she is deeply committed to community engagement and music education, teaching at Yong Siew Toh Conservatory, initiating outreach programs, and establishing initiatives that nurture young musical talent and contemporary Singaporean compositions.

Grand Prize winner of the Prestigious Marguerite Long-Thibaud Piano Competition in France and the Vladimir Horowitz Piano Competition in Ukraine Junhee Kim will be performing music of Ravel, Kapustin, Chopin, Gershwin and J. Ching.
South Korean pianist Junhee Kim is acclaimed for his charismatic stage presence, transparent tone, and refined sense of repertoire. His performances combine technical brilliance with intellectual depth and emotional clarity, offering fresh perspectives on the classical piano tradition.
Kim serves as Artistic Director of the Santa Barbara International Music Festival in Sardinia, where he curates long-term artistic projects. In 2025, he commissioned composer Jeffrey Ching for a reimagined version of Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater with piano, premiered at the festival, and presented A Reimagination of Le Tombeau de Couperin in Milan and Seoul.
He released Apparitions on Deutsche Grammophon in collaboration with WDR 3, focusing on lesser-known works by Franz Liszt. He appeared as soloist with the Odessa Philharmonic Orchestra on its 2025 Asian tour, giving the Asian premiere of Bortkiewicz’s Piano Concerto No. 1.

Brought to you by MTNA Philippines and Manila Pianos Inc., The Baldwin Series presents a special solo recital by Jiahn C. Aseneta, a Grade 12 student at St. Dominic College of Batanes, Inc. This recital showcases emerging talent from Batanes and features a rich program of vocal and instrumental artistry.
The program includes a special appearance by Coro de Sta. Cecilia under the direction of Maestro Christopher Borela, bringing choral depth and local musical tradition to the evening. String color and lyrical nuance will be provided by Strings of Hope Batanes violinists Shaina Cielo, Mariella Abad, and Gregory Elacion. Adding further distinction, Ivatan soprano Nicole Rasco Adri — a current member of the Philippine Madrigal Singers — joins the lineup, lending her acclaimed vocal presence.
This event celebrates musical excellence and community: a platform where student artistry, accomplished ensembles, and distinguished soloists converge. Attendees can expect a thoughtfully curated program combining solo piano repertoire, choral works, and chamber collaborations that highlight both technical mastery and expressive storytelling.
