Michael Valenciano is widely regarded as one of the most promising young pianists in the Philippines today. A graduate of the UST Conservatory of Music under Assoc. Prof. Najib Ismail, his career is decorated with major honors including two NAMCYA prizes, First Prize at the Kayserburg International Piano Competition, and First Prize at the New York Young Performers’ Prize Competition. In recognition of his international success, he was honored with the prestigious Ani ng Dangal Award for Music by the NCCA.

This recital highlights Valenciano’s masterful versatility and expressive depth. The carefully curated program features the classical wit of Beethoven’s Sonata No. 18, the vibrant impressionism of Ravel’s Miroirs, emotional Filipino classics by Francisco Buencamino Sr., and the monumental virtuosity of Schumann’s Symphonic Études.
