Double Pentagon Concerts and Manila Pianos Inc. present award-winning classical pianist Reynaldo "Raki" Reyes Gendrano in the second installment of his grand traversal of the complete piano sonatas of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.

The artist:

Reynaldo "Raki" Gendrano is one of the country's most decorated young keyboard talents. An OPPA Foundation scholar and alumnus of the UST Conservatory of Music under Mariel Ilusorio, Raki is a First Prize winner at both the 2021 NAMCYA and the 2016 INC International Piano Competition. He also holds the Steinway & Sons Award from the 2021 America Music Teachers League Competition and serves as a guest musician for the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra.

In this dedicated cycle, Raki explores the rapid evolutionary leap in Mozart's keyboard writing between 1773 and 1788—a period where the composer pushed the limits of the newly invented pianoforte to extract unprecedented colors and emotional scale. The evening’s program tracks this brilliant artistic maturity, bridging early influences with hints of the dramatic grandeur that would eventually predict Beethoven.
